Hello everyone, in this article I want to share with you my 10 favorite movies as a cinema lover.
10)Taste of Cherry

I love Iranian cinema. I think the reason for this is that Iranian cinema is not free and gives the messages it wants to give with very subtle nuances. Iranian directors maintain their habits wherever they shoot.
Abbas Kiyarüstemi wrote a character named Badii who wanted to end his life and tried to find someone to bury him after he died. The words of this character are subtly written. Throughout the movie, our character is rejected by many.
Bakari Bey tells us that he went to a secluded garden to hang himself one day, he ate cherries from the cherry tree before he killed himself there, and he ate it again and again and then gave up suicide and picked cherries from the garden for his wife.
My suicidal thoughts were quite high when I watched this film, which has many striking points, about Iran’s poverty and the Iranian people. Because of this wonderful story told by Bakari Bey, the movie has a different value for me. I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to see the magnificence of Iranian cinema.
9)Leon

I watched this movie with my father. When the movie finished, we were filled with sadness and happiness for a long time. The movie, directed by Luc Besson, is about a man who is used to living alone and a girl named Mathilda comes into his life.
Although there have been serious accusations about the film that it promotes pedophilia in recent years, I strongly disagree with this. Natalie Portman signaled her future star as Mathilda long ago.
Gary Oldman added a great flavor to the film with his tremendous improvisation skills. Jean Reno, on the other hand, has achieved an unforgettable act. Shape of My Heart, played after the final scene, was a very good choice.
8)Taxi Driver

This production, which marked a period with the scene “You Talking to Me?” Shot by my favorite director Martin Scorsese with Robert De Niro, the actor I love most, has a very interesting shooting story.
The producers of the film did not welcome Robert De Niro to play the role of Travis, as Robert De Niro, who had a tremendous breakout with God Father 2, would have an over-the-money demand. However, after reading this magnificent script, Robert De Niro accepted the fee to be part of this project.
The movie shows the audience the transformation of a man living alone into a sociopath on the screen. I think I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said that Robert De Niro’s tremendous acting made the movie a cult.
7) Once Upon a Time in America

How bad can it be if there are some great actors like Robert De Niro, James Woods and Joe Pesci in the lead roles of Martin Scorsese and a gang movie. This movie is the story of the children of poor families who want to live the American dream, looking for identity and status on the street.
It also shows how people become selfish as you get older. Anyway, Martin Scorsese shows how gangs have degenerated over time in every gang-themed movie. Scorsese, who did this in this movie, used well him wonderful cast.
6)Modern Times

If we are talking about cinema, Charlie Chaplin should definitely pass somewhere. His way of telling what he wants to tell about his point of view on art is of great importance for cinema culture. Although I love every film of Charlie Chaplin, who tries to tell us that the workers are not a mechanical part, which makes us look at the worker boss tension, which has emerged alongside the growing economies after the Industrial Revolution started by Ford, I think this is the best film.
