Hello everyone, I recently read on some cyber security sites that there may be a major cyber attack this summer and when I told my friends to protect their mail with Authenticator apps, many of my friends said they did not know how to do it. I wanted to post a blog or a video on the internet, but I couldn’t find a Turkish source and I thought it was too technical. For this reason, I wanted to open a new mail and explain how to do this process.
Click on the Profile Picture
From here we select Manage Your Google Account.
From here we call Security.
From here we click on 2-factor protection.
After entering the password of our account, we say add authenticator.
Download Google Authenticator from iOS or Android (you can also use Microsoft’s) and press the add button.
Then we enter the application from our phone and press add. We scan the QR code and recognize the qr code given to us.
When the QR code is added, you get a 6-digit code.
Then we click next from the web screen. And enter the 6-digit code on our phone.
Then we go back to the security tab and activate the 2-step security.
From now on, the account also asks for that 6-digit code after entering the password and password. As you have seen, even if someone learns your password, they will no longer be able to access your account. If you cannot access the app, you can try other methods to recover your account.
