Creating a Maintenance table for a SAP ABAP table

A Function Group is required for the maintenance table. After selecting our package with SE80 Object Navigator, we create a function group

Then, we activate it by right-clicking

Afterwards, we select the table for which we will create a maintenance table, and click on Utilities > Table Maintenance Generator from the top menu.

We selected &NC& to create the authorization group without an authorization group.

We wrote the function code we created in the function group. We selected the single-step option for easier data transfer from Excel in the maintenance type.

Then we inserted the screen number. If we select ‘standard’ in the recording routine, it will request a request number; if we select ‘no recording routine’, it will not request a request number.

If we want to process the data directly in the live system, we choose ‘no recording routine

We recommend choosing a suggested screen number

Then, we click on the ‘Create’ button.

After selecting our packages, we see this screen

Now we can use our table through SM30.

“If we want to delete it, we can delete it from the Table Maintenance Generator screen that we created.
